Plumbers and HVAC Professionals are Essential Workers
The White House has deemed that plumbers and HVAC professionals are essential workers. This means that LaPensee Plumbing Pools and Air is here to keep your water flowing and your homes cool. We are open to serve you!
While we are open it is important that everyone stay safe, some ways to protect you as well as your community include:
- Avoid being exposed to COVID-19, this means staying in your home unless you need to go out for necessities
- Following protective measures, this includes social distancing when you are out
- Washing your hands for at least twenty seconds with warm soapy water, and often
- If water isn’t available, use hand sanitizer which contains at least 60% alcohol
- Do not touch your face
- Cover your mouth and cough or sneeze into a tissue or your elbow and dispose of it immediately
- Don’t come into contact with anyone who is sick
- Disinfect surface areas daily if not more often than that. This includes doorknobs, light switches, counter tops, refrigerator doors and handles.
- Disinfect packages when you bring them into your home
- If you are sick, stay at home, and please inform our plumbers or HVAC professionals that you are sick and reschedule your appointment
Due to this pandemic, there has been an increased use of “flushable wipes”. These include baby wipes, hand wipes, makeup wipes, and disinfectant wipes. NONE of these are flushable. Flushing these down the toilet can cause your toilet to clog, and even worse, they can cause a clog in the sewer system. This is not a problem you want to have.
Everyone at LaPensee Plumbing Pools and Air wants you all to be safe. We also want you to know that we are here for you if you should need us. As the saying goes, we’re all in this together, and it will take all of us to get through this safely!
